Frequently asked questions

What is the Girton150 Giving Week?

14 - 18 October is the Girton150 Giving Week. It’s a chance for the entire global College Community – to come together, to celebrate the 150th Anniversary and make a difference to current and future students.

Each day we will celebrate a different part of our global College community, so keep an eye out over the coming weeks to see how you can be a part of our first ever Giving Week.

What Are We Fundraising For?

Girton150 Giving Week will support undergraduate bursaries and hardship funds and student wellbeing, as well as graduate research scholarships.

How Can I get involved?

  • Become a social ambassador and help spread the word about the week amongst your friends; it only takes a few clicks to help the College!
  • Get involved in one of our Giving Week events.
  • Make a donation.

What Makes a Giving Week Different From Any Other Week?

Unlike gifts made for the rest of the year, donations made during the Girton150 Giving Week have the potential to generate even further impact. Follow our campaign hashtag #girton150givingweek and find out how you and your friends can unlock further funds on the Week. If you already know you will be away that week, you can even give in advance.

How Do I Know My Donation Is Secure?

Girton uses an offsite payment processor called Stripe to process credit card donations. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
